Thorney Colts and Thorney FC have agreed to forge closer relations through the forming of 'Thorney Football'.

 

Both clubs have a long history within the village; both use the park for training and their home matches; and both are highly regarded as being a nice place to play.

 

Both clubs also have shared interest in campaigning for improved facilities at the Park, and our representation becomes stronger when we can show our collaboration.

 

Visible signs of the Colts and Men's coming together are the change of uniform colour of the Colts to orange / black / black to match the men's. This will give Thorney a consistent identity regardless of whether it is the under 10s or the men's reserves playing.

 

The collaboration also provides a natural next stage for the Youth League teams to continue playing football in Thorney once they reach u18s.

 

Finally, the two clubs can hold joint training sessions, fund raisers, etc.
